Periodically, staff are required to perform hazardous, non-routine tasks, such as confined space entry, tank cleaning, and painting reactor vessels. Non-routine tasks that are performed at Cardiology Medical Group include:

Prior to starting work on such projects, each affected employee will be given information by SDS staff member about the hazardous chemicals he or she may encounter during these activities:
For each non-routine task identified above:
1. List the specific chemical hazards.
2. Document protective and safety measures the employee can use.
3. Provide the steps the employer has taken to reduce the hazards, including ventilation, respirators, presence of another employee, and emergency procedures.
